Torakichi Gotō was a pupil of the prolific flower-and-bird printmaker Hiroshige Utagawa. After the death of both Hiroshige and another of his pupils, named Hiroshige II, Torakichi called himself Hiroshige III. Using the same style as his teacher, Hiroshige III made more than seventy-five woodblock prints of flowers and (or) birds during his career. Some prints were published individually and others in picture books. The twenty pictures included in his undated picture book entitled Kachō Zufu (i.e., Picture Album of Flowers and Birds) are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
